CTG is seeking to fill a Business Data Analyst II opening for our client in New York.
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 – 8 weeks
Overview:
Participates in components of the data program within an assigned area of the Company and in the areas of governance, quality, issue management, reporting, data architecture, solutions, analytics, or project management activities under the guidance of management and the overall Enterprise Data Management Program.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementation of the Data Management Program within assigned area of the Company.
- Develop a basic understanding of the data management practices.
- Assist in calculating metrics to measure compliance with the business and Enterprise Data Management policy and standards.
- Assist in documenting metadata for identified critical data elements.
- Assist in monitoring the quality of data and work with the team to assist units in disposition of data quality exceptions.
- Update data issue remediation documentation.
- Use business and enterprise data management and business intelligence tools to understand data within assigned areas.
- Analyze data sets and provide insights to team members for presentation within the business supported.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the Company brand.
- Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelors degree and a minimum of 1 year professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, combined minimum of 5 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 year professional experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical ability.
- Creative problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, graphing, and presentations with a working knowledge of financial models.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Banking or data management industry experience.
- Working knowledge of Data Management principles.
- Working knowledge of Bank products, systems, and workflows.
- Proficient in pertinent project and presentation software.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $30,000 to $90,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
Pay Range
USD $30,000.00 – USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
