Business Intelligence Analyst

As a Claims Business Intelligence Analyst you will become a part of our Zurich Group Claims family where we work closely together to solve problems facing our business. Your role

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, your main responsibilities will involve: 

 

  • Develop and design new Analytical tools and reports with attention on details and UX;
  • Conduct analytical investigations aiming to extract valuable information from claims data and answer business questions;
  • Own projects as the main developer with the possibility to influence how the final product will look;
  • Collaborate with other disciplines (e.g Underwriting, Actuarial…) in order to provide claims insights on changes in the business portfolio;
  • Deliver accurate, relevant, and informative/actionable insights to senior level management across various business units answering the “why?” related to claims trends;
  • Find innovative solutions to data issues preventing us from conducting necessary analysis, and explore ways to leverage the use of our data for the betterment of the Group Claims function
  • Identify and implement improvements and automation opportunities (data, KPI’s, dashboards, process)
  • Data analysis, deliver existing reports, maintenance and gradual improvement of processes using PowerBI, VBA;
  • Translate ideas into practical solutions.

 

Your Skills and Experience

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, your skills and experience will ideally include: 

 

  • At least 4+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics;
  • University degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Econometrics, Engineering, Computer Science, Decision Science, Business Management, or other quantitative sciences;
  • Hands to keyboard ability to deliver data and analytical projects;
  • Experience with Excel, including knowledge of VBA;
  • Experience in Power BI;
  • R and/or Python or other coding language is an advantage;
  • Proficiency in SQL is a plus;
  • Good written and spoken English; additional language is a plus.
