Medline Industries has an immediate opening for a Business Intelligence Analyst based at our headquarters in Northfield, IL. The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for transforming data into insights that drive business value. By developing and managing BI solutions, creating reports, and performing in-depth analysis, the BI Analyst will help guide strategic decisions across departments. This role will require collaboration with stakeholders to identify data needs, extract and analyze data, and communicate actionable insights in an accessible manner.
Core Responsibilities:
- Produce actionable reports and dashboards that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems.
- Create, review, and performance tune dashboards. Ensure dashboards are accurate and display meaningful visual stories.
- Conduct data analysis in support of a variety of analytic solutions. Interpret data, analyze results, and provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities.
- Develop medium-complexity SQLs and procedures. This includes performance tuning SQL.
- Work with business users to identify analytics requirements
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure data is extracted, transformed, and loaded (ETL) accurately for reporting purposes.
- Provide reporting solutions and respond to ad-hoc report requests across multiple business areas.
Education – Bachelor’s Degree.
Relevant Work Experience –
- At least 2 years of dashboard development experience using Tableau, Alteryx or other similar technology.
- At least 2 years of experience levering SQL for data analysis and performance tuning.

At least 2 years of data modeling experience.

At least 2 years of experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, proficient in MS Word and Access.

Good to have knowledge of Cloud Based Solutions like Fabric
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering or other related field.
- Experience working with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Python, R.
