Job Description

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will be responsible for developing internal tools that allow for easier access and analysis of data. This position will have a quantitative background and will be responsible for creating and maintaining BI dashboarding tools. This role offers a premier opportunity to further develop a career in economics and data science. Everyday projects include analyzing wage and employment trends, measuring job advertising performance, creating compelling data visualizations, writing up research findings as blogs or whitepapers, and ad hoc research/reporting. 

Job Responsibilities

• Design, build, launch and maintain reliable business intelligence (BI) solutions that provide insights across the organization and to cross-functional teams 
• Develops standard operating procedures for the collection, transformation, and dissemination of reporting data 
• Find opportunities for UX and data visualization improvements through collaboration with Product teams 
• Absorb recruitment marketing data, assess, and share what it means for talent acquisition leaders 

Qualifications

• Expertise developing dashboards with Tableau (preferred), Shiny, PowerBI, or other BI tools 
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and experience working with relational databases 
• Proficiency in R and/or Python is strongly preferred 
• Experience building Shiny dashboards, using R programming language, is preferred 
• Proficiency in doing data analysis to inform business decisions with non-technical stakeholders 
• Technical experience at ingesting data from API’s into dashboards

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field 
• 2 or more years’ experience in a BI or analytics role 

Travel Requirements

Travel for this position may include quarterly travel to attend internal and external meetings, however, this may vary based on business needs and opportunities.
