Through data and customer insights, we will design a plan that will ensure a holistic customer experience from communication with our customers to our membership program.

Job Description

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be transforming and visualizing large amounts of data for hundreds of users in a complex data environment mainly using the Microsoft Power BI platform. The role involves building and maintenance of reporting tools, dashboards, and products around data. Key focus is ensuring we have a stable data reporting environment to deliver accurate results, achieved through building strong foundations and thorough maintenance. It also includes finding the potential in data together with other stakeholders for further developments to secure the realization of business value from data. But this is more than a technical role. To succeed you will need to take initiative, manage your own projects, communicate clearly with many stakeholders, and strive to truly understand our business.  

In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Voice of the customer reports. In these reports, we combine operational and survey data to learn about our customers’ experience and attitudes. As the customer is at the heart of everything, it means that you will be exposed to all parts of the business where we meet the customer, e.g., store, online, deliveries, returns, product, and customer service. You will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of our ad campaign follow-up reports that are used to understand how our creatives are resonating with customers and consumers in the market. Here you will work together with the media and brand. This is hence a great opportunity to learn about and collaborate with a wide range of the H&M business, connecting insights about the customer, product, and brand experience. We believe that to thrive in this role you should have a strong interest in wanting to learn about and understand the customers’ experiences. You will not be primarily responsible for analyzing and delivering insight and recommendations, but rather build, develop and maintain the reports, dashboards and data products.

Key responsibilities: 

 

  • Ownership of Voice of the Customer reports and Ad Campaign follow-up reports in Power BI. 
  • Build and maintain reports, data models and BI solutions that take H&M’s analytical capabilities to the next level. 
  • Data preparation including combining data from different data sources.  
  • Quality assurance of the data in the reports to proactively identify potential data issues.  
  • Work with a wide range of business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and make sure our reports have a strong business impact. 
  • Share your technical knowledge and contribute to the H&M BI and data community. 
  • Work with tech teams to establish a data environment that fully supports the front-end needs. 
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data visualization and BI tech and have the drive to realize its potential.  

Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar relevant experience. 
  • Academic degree within Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or similar.  
  • Genuine interest in creating business value out of data. 
  • Experienced in working with large data sets and complex problems. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • A team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues. 
  • Ability to translate business requirements into efficient and clear report solutions.  
  • Basic proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience in data visualization using Power BI. 
  • Experience in data modelling and DAX. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a structured and thorough way. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience of working with survey data  
  • ​​​​​​​Experience of working with an OMNI retail company
  • Experience of working with cloud platforms (e.g., SAS, AWS, Azure, GCP).  
  • Experience of working with text analytics solutions 
  • Strong interest in, and preferable experience of, working with customer experience. 
  • Strong interest in, and preferable experience of, working with ad campaign follow-up.
