Introduction to the job 

As a Business Intelligence Analyst you will develop data models and support the generation of business insights by using a combination of cross-sector data sources and applying leading analytics tools and technologies to enable value creation for ASML and its customers.

You will become part of the EF Business Intelligence & Analytics team, which is part of the EUV Factory’s Operational Excellence – Business Engineering department. The Business Engineers support the EUV Factory staff(s) by delivering data insights & advice in order to realize the factory targets.

Role and responsibilities 

As a data analyst you will:

  • Be responsible for reporting & analytics, for both ad hoc questions coming from factory users and for improving our existing regular reporting and analytics. Most of these reports are developed in Tibco Spotfire.
  • Perform analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data.
  • Need the ability to understand business questions and challenges and be able to translate them to reporting & analytics requirements. 
  • Need the ability to compile data from multiple platforms and systems. 
  • Perform data preparation and data engineering. 
  • Filter data, review reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems.
  • Assign numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time.
  • Be part of an agile team using the scrum methodology.

Education and experience 

Master’s degree in: Information Management, Business Management, Economics, Econometrics, Data Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Mathematics & Computer Science but also Robotics & Applied Mathematics or equivalent

Drive and passion are always key within ASML, but we consider the following experience as a must for this position:  

  • 1 – 5 years of experience with data analytics. 
  • Knowledge of working with data platforms, data analysis and visualization tools and techniques, preferably Tibco Spotfire.
  • Experience with basic Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint, Excel etc.
  • Experience in a complex, international environment is a plus.
  • Considered preferable to also have experience with systems and techniques, such as PowerBI, SAP Hana, Python.

This job position is part of the Distributed Analytics Network (DAN, a network consisting of analytics entities (called Analytics ‘Nodes’) throughout the different sectors at ASML. The main objective of the DAN network is to create an aligned way of working across the organization, to bring our ASML’s analytics capabilities to the next level. Being part of DAN gives you exposure to multiple teams and parts of our organization and unlocks wide growth opportunities for all our members.
