Business Intelligence Developer – Ibm Tm1 / Cognos

This role involves migrating data from IBM Cognos Power Cubes to the more modern Planning Analytics platform. You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing these new cubes, collaborating with teams to ensure they meet business needs. This includes working with large datasets, managing ETL processes, and troubleshooting issues to maintain system stability and performance. You’ll also contribute to best practices for Planning Analytics development and implementation.

• Converting existing IBM Cognos Power cubes to Planning Analytics cubes. 
• Provide input to best practices for designing and implementing Planning Analytics cubes. 
• Planning Analytics configuration, optimization and tuning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
• Work with large datasets, managing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various sources.
• Take ownership of issues through to delivery or issue resolution or escalation, as appropriate 
• Contribute to technical resolution of incidents and continuously improve operations resilience.

• Strong technical experience in Cognos Analytics and Planning Analytics (TM1) 5+ years.
• Strong understanding of SQL (Oracle preferred) and database management.
• Data analysis and data validation skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Working independently, taking initiative
• Experience working with VDI desktops and requesting needed access to servers and databases.
• Nice to have skills:
  • Experience with Google Big Query.
  • Experience with Qlik Sense
  • Experience with Python and Unix shell scripting.
  • Experience with VBA scripting/excel macros.
  • Staying up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence
  • Automotive industry knowledge would be an added advantage.
