POSITION
We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer (all genders) supporting our teams from our Chandigarh/ Mohali office and reporting to HRS HQ. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders, business teams, and data teams, converting business requirements into analytics designs, and implement analytics solutions to different areas within the business functions. In doing so, the candidate knows and loves working with analytics tools (such as Microstrategy or Apache Superset), can model multidimensional datasets, and can implement “last-mile” data pipelines sponsoring dimensional models. This is a role with high visibility to senior leadership and with high opportunity for impact for those willing to roll up their sleeves and dive deep to achieve results.
CHALLENGE
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, peers, and other data teams on gaining business insights, translating business requirements, and designing/ implementing analytical solutions for data-driven business operations enablement.
- Develop and model datasets and data pipelines using BI tools (MicroStrategy, Superset) and/or direct SQL queries and/or Python and/or DBT against disparate data sources across the HRS Data&Analytics Platform.
- Produce answers, ideas, and insights that are easily communicated to the business for continuous business betterment by applying analytic and statistical methodologies to data and developing insightful dashboards.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in the enterprise analytics landscape (e.g. areas of repeated maintenance, data quality issues or recurring ad-hoc requests) and propose ideas to address them.
- Ensure that data is modeled to the highest standards, is well documented and accessible to different end users through the appropriate platforms.
- Consult on Exasol/Oracle (Datawarehouse) and MicroStrategy/ Superset (BI Reporting Platform) on a advanced-level to the business and tech teams.
FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH…
- Several years of experience in analytics, data exploration, data schema modeling (dimensional or Data Vault), and reporting in MicroStrategy or Superset.
- Understanding what it takes to design, build and maintain end-to-end stable analytics solutions.
- Strong 4-5 years hands-on expertise on MicroStrategy One+ or Superset.
- Advanced SQL skills (4-5 years) enabling you to solve problems with the most efficient SQL considering data volumes of an underlying data warehouse.
- Experience in understanding existing models, creating database views and designing semantic layer objects, as well as dashboards and reports.
- Fluency in English is a must

The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.
