Job Description

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Expert to reinforce our organisation in Europe. In this role you are responsible for driving data-lead business decision making across Europe, through the creation and management of core data platforms and the development of commercial analytics capabilities. All of which are leveraged to deliver insights which unlock business growth.
PVM Europe is our regional organization that defines and deploys the strategy for our European commercial functions and operations. Our core functions and centers of expertise are located here defining and driving the regional strategies, portfolios, roadmaps, planning and policies. You will work closely with our operating companies as well as with our Group functions for deploying global initiatives regionally. 
The Business Intelligence Expert works in collaboration with the cross-functional teams within the global group organization but also actively engages with the local teams in the local operating companies.

What you will do

  • Enhance a data driven decision culture where decisions makers across the organization have the right data at the right time to make decisions;
  • Educate the organization on a broad range of BI tools through trainings and other forums; organizing and maintaining the platforms in which teams access the resources;
  • Translate global data tools, approaches and practices to the regional and local organization(s);
  • Act as BI commercial expert by providing advice and coaching within the group organization and with the local market teams;
  • Develop and maintain Business Intelligence dashboards, templates & reports, as well as providing analytics & insights support to its users, that will be used in monthly business planning;
  • Develop and support improved business review processes on key performance indicators (KPIs) across the commercial business. Organizing a decentralized systems environment towards a clear system of automation which delivers accurate and timely data. Enabling the business to react and anticipate based on our performance.  
  • Step-up and use benchmark data to define meaningful, measurable objectives that track business performance;
  • Guaranteeing data availability, accuracy and consistency is key, which will be a challenge to be addressed in collaboration with the local entities, IT and Master Data Management, finance and external agencies e.g. Nielsen, IRI;
  • Continuously seek ways to improve existing processes and reporting to fit with evolving requests from internal stakeholders;
  • Delivering ad-hoc analytics & decision support around business questions or challenges, leveraging business intelligence data to give clear recommendations;
  • Identifying opportunities for growth across multiple areas of the business from category / brand performance improvement, financial / revenue growth strategy, competitor analytics to enabling customer engagements;
  • Developing c-suite ready presentations of analyses with key outcomes, leveraging multiple data sources to deliver business updates to senior leadership within the business;
  • Support the implementation of- and embedding of the commercial data lake (CDL) global project.

Our Perfect Candidate

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field with 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in FMCG;
  • Experience in cross-cultural, cross-functional environments, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficiency in Power BI; knowledge of data science, SQL, and Python is a plus;
  • Skilled in using analytical tools and building relationships with stakeholders;
  • Strategic thinker, adept at handling challenges and making informed decisions;
  • Detail-oriented, results-driven, and capable of managing complex issues;
  • Strong leadership skills, including adaptability, managing complexity, and driving results;
  • Ability to respond and flex to different cultural styles, across the Europe organization;
  • Flexibility and occasional travel required;
  • Interest in international career opportunities and mobility;
  • Willingness to collaborate on regional and global projects;
  • Location will be flexible in EU.
