 The Business Intelligence Lead solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Business Intelligence Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

CPSS Data and Analytics is an Enterprise Operations Enablement team focused on data, reporting and data science supporting Humana’s Service Operations.  The team is focused on converting data to actionable insights for our business partners who can utilize to reduce administrative cost and improve the customer’s experience.

This position will work within the Quality and Improvement team, part of the broader CPSS Data and Analytics organization. This team is focused on analyzing technology, process or people changes for Valuation or ROI, leveraging data and existing methodologies. They will also support change management, identifying and driving improvement opportunities, supplying both quantitative and qualitative data, with intense focus on the associate and member experiences.

The ideal candidate will research and stay current with best practices both within and outside the organization to drive improvement projects, analyze data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced results, increased productivity and reduced cost.                       

                       

Use your skills to make an impact
 

  • Leveraging data and analytical skills to calculate Value or ROI for projects, investments in technology, changes to process, new solutions like AI,etc.
  • Learn or leverage existing certifications (like Prosci) for change management leadership and consultation
  • Root Cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related defects, finding areas of opportunity, using technical engineering and quantitative methods to understand problems, design experimental programs, collect and analyze data, and derive practical recommendations and solutions.
  • Lead end to end process improvement projects inclusive of bringing together multiple data sources, process mapping, defect identification, implementation and long term measurement support
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement activities across CPSS, maintaining data centric approach
  • Develop and conduct training/overviews and education to build awareness to Valuation and Change Management, sharing tools and methodology
  • Apply and recommend LEAN/Six Sigma tools/approaches
  • Maintain proficiency in the area of Lean/Agile and related trends and philosophies
  • Lead and establish methodologies supporting goal setting, valuation of improvements, and data control points and thresholds

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and or 8 or more years of technical experience
  • Experience in valuing initiatives
  • Effective and collaborative problem solving and group facilitation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills: positive, persuasive, motivating
  • Proficiency of statistical methods and tools for problem solving
  • Continually strives to build knowledge and skills specific to the products and processes.
  • Self-motivation, drive, energy, and resilience
  • Proficiency in verbal/written communication to senior and executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • ROI Certification
  • Prosci Certification
  • Knowledge of facilitation and process mapping tools
  • 2+ years of Process Improvement experience
  • 2+ years of project leadership experience

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

 

$104,800 – $144,300 per year

 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
