Catalog Data Analyst – Heavy-Duty

Location: Gastonia, NC

MANN+HUMMEL, a pioneering leader in the heavy-duty vehicle industry, is seeking a dynamic Catalog Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our competitive edge by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our product information. As the primary liaison between our organization and the heavy-duty vehicle market, you will spearhead research efforts, foster dealer relationships, and drive strategic initiatives to enhance our offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on the Heavy-Duty vehicle market, encompassing On-Highway Trucks and Off-Highway Equipment such as Agriculture, Construction, and Forestry machinery.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with local dealers to obtain crucial Original Equipment (OE) part numbers, model numbers, and part footnotes.
  • Continuously monitor major market competitors to ensure alignment of our product offerings and maintain parity.
  • Facilitate the Sample Ordering process for new OE filters, ensuring seamless integration into our product line.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Heavy-Duty related field requests and inquiries, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Uphold data integrity within our Product Information Management (PIM) system by meticulously adding new records and maintaining existing ones.
  • Develop into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Heavy-Duty segment, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with the team on various research projects as needed to support organizational objectives.

Your Profile

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in the Heavy-Duty vehicle or parts industry.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in conducting web-based research, and/or 2+ years in the Heavy-Duty vehicle or parts industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with intermediate-level skills.
  • Strong research capabilities and resourcefulness, with a demonstrated ability to leverage internet search engines effectively.
  • Detail-oriented mindset coupled with a proactive, self-starting attitude.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with the Automotive, Construction Equipment, Farm Equipment, or Trucking industries.
  • Knowledge of parts schematics and drawings, enhancing the ability to interpret and analyze technical data.
