About the job

The Chief AI Officer will be responsible for leading the vision, strategy, and execution of artificial intelligence initiatives across dentsu. The Chief AI Officer will lead a team of AI experts and collaborate with dentsu Media, Creative and CX practices, technology teams and external partners to identify, prioritize and deliver innovative and impactful solutions that create value, enhance customer experience, and drive competitive advantage. The Chief AI Officer will also foster a culture of AI literacy, ethics and innovation within the organization and ensure alignment with the company’s mission, values, and goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the AI vision and roadmap for the agency, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, engineers and analysts who design, develop, and deploy AI solutions for various marketing challenges and opportunities.
  • Identify and prioritize AI use cases and opportunities across the Media, Creative and Customer experience domains, leveraging internal and external data sources and platforms.
  • Collaborate with product, technology, and data science teams to ensure the seamless integration of Artificial Intelligence technologies and systems.
  • Partner with senior leadership, business stakeholders and external partners to understand their needs, expectations, and feedback, and deliver AI solutions that meet or exceed them.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance, impact, and value of AI solutions, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement and innovation.
  • Champion the culture of AI literacy, ethics and innovation within the organization and promote the company’s AI vision and achievements externally.
  • Foster an environment of continuous learning and innovation across dentsu’s AI community.
  • Drive the adoption and integration of AI solutions across the organization and ensure alignment with the existing systems, processes, and data sources.
  • Evangelize best practices, standards and governance for AI development, deployment, and evaluation, ensuring compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, developments, and best practices in AI, and foster a culture of learning and experimentation within the agency.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • At least 12 years of experience in leading and managing AI projects and teams, preferably in the marketing industry or related fields.
  • Expertise in various AI techniques and tools, such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, speech recognition, etc.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, R, Java, etc., and frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to drive innovation and collaboration across the agency.
  • Passion for marketing and creativity, and a keen interest in understanding and meeting the needs of our clients and their customers.

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $450,000 – $640,000. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company’s incentive compensation plan is subject to change. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
