Key relationships:
  • Pharma Client Executives (C-Suite, SVP/VP, Directors)
  • Industry Thought Leaders in the areas of Pharma IT, Commercial and Clinical Business functions
  • C-suite & Department/Functional Heads
  • Client organization: account management & delivery
Responsibilities:
  • Large account Life Sciences partner focused on growth in named accounts in the midwest and east with combination target of existing accounts and opening new accounts
  • Research potential clients and solicit customers for Saama Life Science Solutions and Services
  • Present and solicit business from existing base by collaborating with other partners
  • Weekly territory/business development and prospecting new leads and territory sponsors
  • Prospecting from business users as well as IT teams. Both commercial and clinical departments are of interest
  • Front line contact with customers, prospects & leads, and responsible for a quarterly revenue goal
  • Regularly develop & submit accurate forecasts and reports as required
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the industry, the company, and functional areas in order to strategically generate leads
  • Excellent organization and time management skills in prioritizing daily activities and responsibilities with focus on target
  • 10-30% of personal billing
  • This role requires independent travel up to 40%
Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters in science or business
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in client relationship and engagement management roles (including client success roles) in data and analytics space for pharma clients. Strong existing relationships and knowledge of the target accounts and ecosystem
  • Experience in closing new services deals in large pharmaceutical companies in Pharma Commercial and Clinical
  • Exposure to product sales a major plus
  • Primary Responsibility to ensure that the client gets the desired value out of the relationship with Saama
  • Owns a Revenue Target for the year and works with various internal teams (Sales/Product/Delivery/Practices) to ensure that the targets are met.
  • Proactively manage any escalations or issues related to project execution to mitigate risks to customer delight and billings
  • Create 30-60-90 day Account Management Plans that cover a range of topics from current state of the engagement to upcoming Business Development opportunities
  • Conduct Business Reviews in partnership with Executive Sponsor on a quarterly basis
  • Be the Point person and trusted advisor for the client in case of any questions/concerns that might arise with respect to the overall relationship with Saama
  • Expected to be client’s executive level of escalation and should be able to address those issues in the best interest of the client
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Physical Demands
This position requires the frequent and repetitive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Hand and finger dexterity is required.
