Cloud Data Solution Architect

Overview

As a Cloud Data Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing cloud-based data solutions that meet our business requirements and support our data analytics and decision-making initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, data science, and business units, to understand requirements, assess technical feasibility, and develop robust data architectures in the cloud. 

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of cloud-based data solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms, leveraging cloud-native technologies and services. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with our cloud data strategy and architecture principles. 
• Design and implement scalable and cost-effective data architectures in the cloud, optimizing data storage, processing, and analytics capabilities for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. 
• Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies, tools, and services to support data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics requirements, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards. 
• Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance in the cloud. 
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineering and analytics teams on cloud data architecture, best practices, and emerging trends in cloud computing and data management. 
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in cloud data solutions by staying updated with the latest technologies, methodologies, and best practices in cloud computing and data engineering. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. 
• 8 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or Solution Architect, with a focus on designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions. 
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including services such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage, etc. 
• Strong proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques in a cloud environment. 
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink is a plus. 
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 
• Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable. 

Experience

• 8 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or Solution Architect, with a focus on designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions
