The Collaboration and Productivity Engineer II is an individual contributor role focused on enhancing productivity across the Firm by championing Microsoft 365 tools, especially Microsoft Teams, integrated with legal-specific platforms like Intapp Workspaces. In this role, you’ll create a unified, matter-centric collaboration hub for attorneys and staff, implement cutting-edge capabilities such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, and ensure compliance and security through Microsoft Purview governance solutions.

Working closely with cross-functional IT teams, you’ll help the Firm leverage collaboration technologies effectively, securely, and in alignment with business needs. The schedule for this position is hybrid, with at least three days per week in the Kirkland office.

Lead Microsoft Teams Excellence: Serve as the subject matter expert for Teams, managing configuration, policies, and advanced features to deliver a seamless collaboration experience. Enable Matter-Centric Workspaces: Deploy and support Intapp Workspaces, integrating Teams with document management and knowledge systems for secure, efficient legal collaboration. Provide Operational Support: Monitor Microsoft 365 collaboration services, perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and act as a Tier-2/3 escalation point, including participation in on-call rotation.

Develop Collaboration Solutions: Work with IT and business stakeholders to design custom Teams templates, channels, and integrations that improve productivity while meeting Firm policies. Ensure Governance & Compliance: Implement Microsoft Purview solutions for data protection, retention, and ethical walls, collaborating with Security and Risk teams to maintain regulatory compliance. Adopt and Integrate New Capabilities: Evaluate and implement emerging Microsoft 365 features, including AI-powered Copilot, to streamline workflows and enhance team efficiency.

Automate & Script Administration: Create PowerShell scripts and use Microsoft Graph API to automate onboarding, permissions management, workspace provisioning, and other M365 administrative tasks. Document & Train: Produce clear SOPs, knowledge base articles, and user guides, and lead training sessions to drive adoption and proficiency across the Firm.

Collaborate Across Teams: Coordinate with Infrastructure, Applications, Security, and external vendors to ensure smooth integration and resolution of complex technical issues. What You’ll BringEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 solutions, with several years focused on Microsoft Teams or related collaboration tools.

Microsoft Teams Expertise: Advanced administration and troubleshooting experience, including policy management, integrations, and issue resolution. Enterprise M365 Administration: Proven ability to support Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange/Outlook in a multi-office or enterprise environment. Intapp Workspaces Knowledge: Familiarity with Intapp or similar legal collaboration platforms, understanding their integration with Teams for matter-centric workflows.

Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API for administrative automation. Security & Compliance: Knowledge of Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Conditional Access policies, and Microsoft Purview (DLP, eDiscovery, retention policies). Adaptability & Innovation: Enthusiasm for learning new M365 capabilities, including AI and productivity tools, and applying them to enhance workflows.

Communication & Training Skills: Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users, conduct training, and produce user-friendly documentation. Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Strong analytical skills with a customer-focused mindset, able to resolve complex issues and collaborate across diverse teams. Organizational Skills: Skilled in managing multiple priorities, coordinating rollouts, and maintaining detailed documentation and change management practices.
