If so, you may be interested in a Commercial Excellence Data Analyst (Americas) position with our Americas Excellence Commercial team based in New Haven, CT. This role works hand-in-hand with the Sr. Manager, Pricing and Analytics (Americas).
What you will be doing
As Commercial Excellence Data Analyst, you will work in different projects collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to decision-makers. To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience with data science tools. We will provide mentorship and training to a candidate who displays the aptitude and desire to learn!
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Assess data from a variety of sources to gain insights into pricing strategies and market trends
- Analyse competitor pricing and market trends to increase market share and profitability
- Apply statistical modelling methods such as multivariant regression to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability
- Collaborate with multiple teams on developing and implementing competitive pricing strategies
- Create and maintain algorithms to optimize our commercial strategy according to market and consumer data
- Communicate and update businesses regularly on analytical findings and trends
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and ability to quickly shift efforts to prioritize business needs
What we are looking for
This position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Good keyboarding skills and comfort with various database systems will be needed. Other requirements will include:
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States on a full-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
- Candidates must be local to New Haven, CT and be willing to work onsite on a full-time basis.
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Computer Science, or related field with a strong foundation in statistical analysis; post-graduate studies are a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 10%, including international travel.
- Self-starter who can work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to set goals, priorities, and timelines autonomously while aligning with ASSA ABLOY strategic initiatives.
- Ability to take the initiative to turn requests, suggestions, and analytical findings into actionable items or projects.
- Highly responsive with a sense of urgency and the ability to self-prioritize tasks.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to present complex analytical concepts and results in a simple, understandable manner.
- Proficient in Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, SciPy, Streamlit, and Scikit-learn.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with experience in reporting tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or Business Objects.
