We are continuously advancing the state of the art in Computer Vision and Machine Learning. You will be working alongside highly accomplished and deeply technical scientists to develop state of the art solution for challenging problems.

At Apple, we have a balanced mix of research and focus on delivering only the best products. We are looking for a research intern to work on exciting research field of Generative AI and multi-modal foundation models. Our team is focused on building experiences that combines state of the art computer vision and machine learning with Apple hardware and sensors. Because we integrate tightly with the hardware platform and even influence its design, we are able to build products that are extremely fast, power efficient, and accurate. We are doing fundamental academic research while building shipping features, such as FaceID, RoomPlan and Input on VisionPro. You will be a part of a diverse, fast moving team based in Zurich, Switzerland, and will interact regularly with teams based in Cupertino, USA.

Description

This position requires a highly motivated person who wants to help us do fundamental academic research in the field of generativeAI and multi-modal foundation models. You will be responsible for implementing, evaluating and improving Computer Vision and Machine Learning algorithms based on the latest advancements in the fields.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong academic and publication record in computer vision
  • Solid programming skills with Python
  • Deep understanding large foundation models
  • Deep understanding of multi-task, multi-modal machine learning domain
  • Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with deep learning toolkits
  • Familiar with challenges associated with training large models and working with large data
