Introduction to Role:
Join our AI Support Team at AstraZeneca, where we are responsible for supporting the level 1 and 2 post-production activities in the Enterprise AI team. As an AI support engineer, you will be the first respondent for any issues/requests raised post-production by users of the AI enterprises services. We are looking for an AI Support Engineer with industry-relevant experience delivering at scale Machine Learning or Data Science in the AWS cloud ecosystem. You will be part of a collaborative team of multidisciplinary engineers and together have the chance to work on tools that will advance the standard of healthcare, improving the lives of millions of patients across the globe.

Accountabilities:
As an AI Support Engineer, you will collaborate with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers from across the company to understand their challenges. You will need to work with them to triage and resolve issues ranging from developmental to production. You will also work closely and collaboratively with internal governance and compliance functions such as Cyber Security and Data Privacy to establish and work within security guardrails without obstructing end-user productivity. 

Essential Skills/Experience:
– Bsc/MSc/B.Tech/M.Tech degree in Computer Science or related quantitative or analytical field.
– 2-3 years of demonstratable experience working with AWS or equivalent cloud.
– 2-3 years of experience working with Kubernetes and container-based applications.
– 3 years or more of administering a production cluster, with an understanding of operators, storage classes and service meshes.
– 3 years or more of experience building and delivering software using the Python programming language, exceptional ability in other programming languages will be considered.
– Experience working in an Agile team.
– Experience in working in a support environment or an understanding of ITIL framework.
– Experience working with internal security standards and frameworks.
– Experience leveraging DevOps to enable automation strategies.

– 2 or more years of demonstratable experience with the underlying infrastructure and tooling for running Machine Learning or Data Science at Scale using Infrastructure of Code.
– 2 years or more of administering a production cluster, with an understanding of operators, storage classes and service meshes.
