Job Description

Due to a growing demand for our consultancy services, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Data Engineer with extensive experience in Power BI development to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in further enabling the data products and service we deliver to both internal and external clients.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure data services and a proven track record in Power BI to create insightful and actionable business intelligence reports.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Engineering and Management:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Implement and manage Azure Data Lake Storage for efficient data storage solutions.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data warehouses using Azure SQL Database and Azure Cosmos DB.

2. Power BI Development:

  • Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions.
  •  Optimize Power BI data models for performance and scalability.
  •  Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all Power BI reports and dashboards.

3. Integration and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other IT team members to integrate diverse data sources and create comprehensive data solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the data solutions align with business needs and objectives.
  • Provide support and training to end-users on Power BI and other data tools.

4. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Azure data services and Power BI.
  • Implement process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
  • Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
