Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Data analysis, cost model and cost estimate development including third party verification and validation
  • Assisting clients in processing payments, and helping to improve processes
  • Statistical analysis to support benchmarking and efficiency exercises
  • Business case development and cost benefit analysis (financial and non-financial)

We expect the candidate to

  • Work with clients to understand and evaluate strategic options to support investment decisions
  • Design business models to help our clients identify the optimum business, organisational, or commercial models to deliver their organisational strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction through benchmarking and efficiency exercises and articulate the impact of decisions through scenario modelling; allowing clients to make informed decisions on where, and how, to cut costs

As a Consultant at AECOM, you will have exposure many of the above tasks, utilising your skills and experience, and benefiting from exposure to new areas of study and research. You will have responsibility for deliverables within your projects and initiatives, driving innovation with the support of colleagues. You will be technically excellent, providing leading solutions to clients that solve problems in an efficient and effective manner, whilst supported by senior team members. You will be open and interested in the broad range of projects we are involved with, linking with the wider business.

Experience Required

  • Normally receives little instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. 
  • Conducts surveys to ascertain the locations of natural features and human-made structures on the earth’s surface, underground, and underwater, using electronic distance-measuring equipment and other surveying instruments. 
  • Operates and manages land-information computer systems, performs tasks such as storing data, making inquiries, and producing plots and reports. 
  • Reviews information from survey teams regarding measurement of distances, directions, angles between points and elevation of points, lines, and contours on, above, and below the earth’s surface. 
  • Researches legal records, looks for evidence of previous boundaries, and analyzes the data to determine the location of boundary lines. 
  • Records the results of surveys, verifies the accuracy of data, and prepares plots, maps, and reports. 
  • An experienced professional with full understanding of area of specialization. 
  • Works on problems of diverse scope.

 

Qualifications

Degree or relevant qualification in one of the following disciplines

  • Data Analytics
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Cost Intelligence
  • Data Science 

Member of relevant industry body such as the RICS, APM or ACostE with supporting accreditation/certifications
