REPORTS TO: Research and Data Analyst

 

POSITION TYPE: 12-month

 

START DATE: Immediate

 

COMPENSATION: $54,911 – $65,894, Home Office Grade 4

THE OPPORTUNITY

YES Prep needs a dynamic Culture Data Analyst with a diverse set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. To put it simply, you will bring data insights to light to help YES Prep make key decisions about student programming.

 

THE ROLE

When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:

  • Developing new data visualizations and analyses that drive insight, direction, and goal-setting for YES Prep Culture
  • Refreshing and refining existing data visualizations that support district goals for persistence, student discipline, socio-emotional learning, and other cultural programming.
  • Working with the Analytics team, the Culture team, and the Leadership Development Team to scope end-user requirements and project plan for advanced interactive and dynamic data visualizations to meet functional needs;
  • Staying atop data trends, key indicators, and industry standards;
  • Evaluating data sets to determine best data visualization methods to present information;
  • Acting as a strategic partner by resolving end-user questions in a timely, friendly, and proactive manner;
  • Developing training and end-user support for data visualizations and reports;
  • Supporting team in delivering data, analyses, and insights from complex data sets that enable us to drive strategic priorities;
  • Designing and providing training to organization leadership on the use, manipulation, and analysis of interactive data visualizations;
  • Additional duties as assigned.

THE MUST HAVES

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
  • 1-3 years of experience working with data
  • Excellent data fluency and data intuition
  • Proven track record of data analysis to solve problems and drive improvement
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI (preferred) or Tableau
  • Proven ability to manage projects, lead teams, and learn and utilize technological skills
  • Intermediate expertise with Microsoft Excel
  • Belief in and commitment to the mission and core value of YES Prep Public Schools
  • Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
  • Ability to work urgently in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment

  • Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; salary offers commensurate with experience.

 

  • Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $10 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
