ManTech is seeking a Cybersecurity Data Analyst in Herndon, VA. As a Cyber Analyst on our team, you will provide innovative and creative solutions to challenging cyber security problems, utilizing the latest cyber and data analytics tools available, to advance the nation’s information security posture. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Perform advanced cybersecurity analysis relating to the client’s enterprise networks

  • Provide data analytics support and expertise in data science for specialized cybersecurity applications and big data analytical systems

  • Collect and analyze information on enterprise data sources, formats, and key stakeholder use cases

  • Translate data into actionable insights through intelligent analytics

  • Perform client network and systems analysis and research, identify and correlate information by applying data visualization tools and/or existing analytical processes to data

  • Define raw input requirements for data models, ensuring quick analysis and summary reporting for informed decision-making.

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with network security applications, protocols, and associated hardware

  • 5+ years of experience systems engineering to include network, storage, backup, platforms, middleware, application, monitoring, and network security

  • Experience with data aggregation and analysis tools like Splunk, Elasticsearch, Kibana or similar

  • Experience working complex data analysis and analytical assessments of operational and technical data

  • Experience providing data enrichment expertise, including onboarding, normalizing, analyzing, and reporting

  • Experience providing in-depth holistic analysis of a technical threat to critical infrastructure by leveraging various data sources

  • Experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambdas, EC2s, S3 or similar

  • Active/current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or 6 additional years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of networking protocols and network modeling tools

  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of network security products and techniques like firewalls, ACLs, Radius, TACACS,  or similar

  • Experience briefing internal and external stakeholders on your findings and recommendations

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team

  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior client leaders

  • Proven research, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail

Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
