As an individual contributor in Fraud Risk Business Intelligence team, you will be responsible for measuring key risk metrics for the company. Global Financial Crimes and Customer Protection (GFCCP) is responsible for fulfilling PayPal’s commitment to combat money laundering, terrorism financing, and related financial crimes around the world, including sanctions enforcement. This is achieved through a global network of best-in-class investigators and specialized teams dedicated to the development and implementation of strategic policies, advanced analytics, robust reporting, and cutting-edge technology.

Your day to day:

In your day to day role you will:

  • Dive into extensive datasets, defining, and tracking essential KPIs to drive actionable insights for informed business decisions.

  • Create predictive models to forecast risk metrics, employing a blend of statistical methodologies and cutting-edge Machine Learning techniques.

  • Architect and oversee the entire data infrastructure lifecycle, ensuring seamless automation of processes from end to end , ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

  • Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to risk management, leveraging data-driven approaches to address specific business challenges or opportunities.

  • Collaborate with leaders and stakeholder across departments.

What do you need to bring:

  • 2+ years of overall experience

  • Demonstrate proficiency in analytical skills, with expertise in SQL and Excel.

  • Preference for candidates with a strong aptitude for number crunching and a coding mindset.

  • Comfortable with basic statistics; experience in constructing ML models and developing end-to-end model pipelines is a plus.

  • Exhibit critical and analytical thinking, with a focus on problem-solving and attention to detail.
