Data Analyst

Summary of Role

As Information and Cyber Security Data Analyst you will support the production of key metrics and management information across the function. You would also be involved in multiple automation initiatives initiated within the function. This role resides in our Information & Cyber Security team within Corporate IT. The normal working base location will be Mumbai.
Most importantly, you must be an effective communicator (both verbally and in writing) and a supportive team player, taking a consultative rather than confrontational approach whilst maintaining the integrity and independence of the Information Security function.
   

The Role

You will be responsible at a day-to-day level for:
•   Extract interrogate and analyze data to produce key metrics and management information dashboards supporting key decision making. 
•   Generating reports, MI dashboards from automation tools and trackers.
•   Using Power BI to update and publish existing reports and to create new reports when needed.
•   Working with pillar leads to understand their data sources and improve reporting processes.
•   Providing suggestions and recommendations to automate the generation of MI dashboards.
•   Creating Excel based macro solutions.
•   Generating ad-hoc MI reporting in Power BI and Excel based on specific request from the ICS team.
•   Automating business processes using Power Automate.
•   Providing comprehensive reporting across operational and security KPIs and raise appropriate escalations whenever required.
•   Administration and maintenance of our GRC, Automation tools and SharePoint portal.
•   Coordinating with Vendor support team, subject matter experts to resolve issues related to different tools in scope.

The Requirements

•   Experience working on HTML, JavaScript’s and/or SQL, PL/SQL, Dot net and/or reporting tools such as Power BI, Crystal Reports /Cognos etc.
•   Knowledge of SharePoint tools, including ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks.
•   Ability to write and edit VBA.
•   Ability to create Excel based macro solutions.
•   Understanding of core database concepts with experience of using Microsoft Access and basic SQL.
•   Should have experience in Power BI (Power Query & DAX, PowerApps, Power Automate and Power Platform.
•   Experience in optimizing Microsoft Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, test ability, and standardization.
•   Experience of using Microsoft Power BI Desktop with the ability to edit existing reports, create new reports and publish reports to the Power BI Service.
•   Comfortable setting up new queries and data models within Power BI Desktop with an understanding of relationships and how to set up measures and calculated columns in DAX.
•   Experience in leveraging Power Automate Connectors to connect with other standard connectors.
•   Well-versed with implementation of notification workflows using Power Automate.
•   Well-versed with building form-like screens using Power Apps.
•   Ability and experience using PowerPoint to produce slide packs.
•   An ability to work with large and complex data sets.
•   Strong knowledge of using Microsoft Office with a focus on analysis and reporting in Excel with experience using formulas, Pivot tables and other data manipulation features.
•   Readiness to work on integration / automation of GRC tools. 
•   Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are a core requirement for this role.
•   Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple requests.
•   Ability to think creatively to devise customizations within automation tools and portals.
•   An ability to work across multiple business segments and contexts, and to understand that different teams will require different engagement approaches will be helpful.
•   3 to 5 years of experience / background in Data Analysis. 
•   Knowledge and understanding of Information Security and IT concepts.
 

•   Degree in a relevant Business or Information Technology area.
