The Data Product and Insights is part of Data & AI-Digital Solutions, the data and AI COE for the E2E value chain at Vestas. This team is responsible for creating data products using the latest technology, that create value by solving business requirements or challenges in coordination with Product Owners, also part of the same organization. The data products are crucial for multiple verticals at the company, as +10k people organization that relies on these data insights for data-driven decision-making and performance management. Examples of the functions that benefit from the data insights are Service Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial or Quality; and they consume this information to create tangible improvements around cost performance, build asset production performance, and overall business optimization by creating more transparency and a data driven culture.

 

Responsibilities

  • Enable a data driven organization through data analytics deployed via self-service tools, to make better decisions based on insights from data, to improve operational performance
  • Create new insights through programming and integration of new data sources deployed in BI tools to improve transparency and enable better choice
  • Develop and Deliver analytical dashboards for internal stakeholders levering Enterprise Platforms
  • Continuous improvement of existing dashboards through own initiative and stakeholder feedback
  • Support on-going initiatives involving statistical modeling and programming
  • Support with developing and tracking key business & operational performance indicators
  • Develop recommendation for how to enrich the existing product suite

 

Qualifications

  • Background in Engineering / Applied Statistics at Bachelors (Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Science, Engineering or similar)
  • Relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence & advanced SQL programming
  • Previous experience from exposure to multi-cultural and international organizations
  • 5+ years of working experience as a Data Analyst

 

Competencies

  • Enterprise working experience in business intelligence/analytics teams in design, development, and maintenance of BI & Data Analytics solutions
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases (RDBMS, Datawarehouse, Datalake)
  • Strong foundation in Visual design, Storytelling and Descriptive Analytics to build BI dashboards that are visually compelling, scalable and efficient solutions
  • Working experience in enterprise Microsoft Power BI in building Apps, Dashboards and reports is mandatory
  • Hands-on working experience in SSAS/Azure Analysis services to build tabular models is mandatory
  • Solid hands-on working experience in RDBMS querying languages like MS-SQL is mandatory
  • Experience/working knowledge in Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Lake Storage, Synapse Analytics) or Snowflake is recommended
  • Working knowledge in Python/R Programming would be an added advantage
