What You Will Do:
Guidehouse has an exciting opportunity in our Defense & Security Segment to provide modeling support and assist in verifying, validating, and accrediting models built by various groups in homeland security-related domains. Project members are provided the opportunity to interact with our clients’ senior management, develop technical skills, and gain exposure to business development. The nature of our projects may be extremely dynamic and requires self-motivated individuals willing to develop innovative solutions independently or with a team of highly skilled professionals.
Responsibilities include:
· Lead development and/or assessment of various types of models (primarily workforce/manpower) used to support government resourcing.
· Meet with stakeholders, evaluate the workload process, identify key metrics, and build and maintain models to support organizational design, change management, and data analytics based on the staffing objectives.
· Integrate models within SharePoint or other central repositories.
· Provide verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) analysis support or verification & validation (V&V) support of existing models.
· Write reports to synthesize relevant information on assessed models and develop actionable recommendations for future maturity.
· Create study plans or scope/schedule plans to guide model analysis activities.
· Analyze and review maturity of models by comparing criteria against a model maturity framework.
· Participate within a team environment, be a creative problem solver, maintain a positive attitude, and proactively communicate.
· Produce trainings, user guides, standard operating procedures, and other documentation. · Provide biweekly and monthly status updates.
· Work at least once per week on client site and once in a Guidehouse office with the team.
What You Will Need:

US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance is contractually required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering.

ONE (1) or more years of experience (may be inclusive of experience at relevant internships).

Intermediate or Advanced Proficiency with Excel.

Aptitude and desire to learn data visualization and other technology platforms (Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint, Power Apps, Python, etc.)
What Would Be Nice To Have:
-
Preferred Years of Experience: 3 (may be inclusive of experience at relevant internships).

Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative and computational discipline (e.g., data science, analytics, statistics, mathematics, etc.).
-
Experience with manpower or workforce modeling in the Federal Government.
-
Technical writing experience.
-
Exposure to Python or similar programming languages for data wrangling, data analysis, and modeling tasks.

Experience developing dashboards on a data visualization platform (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to drive decision making for clients.

Ability to work effectively with complex stakeholder group involving multiple client reporting structures and interfacing with other model development teams.

Strong communication/presentation skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.

Strong consulting skills: identifying and addressing client needs, building relationships, and driving initiatives forward.

Willingness to contribute to internal firm initiatives and business development opportunities.
