Data Analyst (Associate level)
Job Description
As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with Lead Consultants, Project Managers, and clients to support the delivery of Data solutions for Salesforce projects. You will be responsible for delivering and automating analysis, interpretation, cleansing, and transformation of data. You will support the entire development lifecycle, from data design, transformation, migration, testing, and analytics development on Salesforce CRM Analytics and Tableau.
Your expertise in data management, analysis, and reporting will help drive efficiency outcomes for clients. You will provide technical guidance on how to use data to optimise processes, enhance decision-making, and meet organisational objectives. You are highly proficient in Excel, and ideally can develop scripts using Python.
You will contribute to designing and developing data solutions that are robust, defensible, and aligned with industry standards. Occasionally, you may be assigned to support other departments on analytics-related projects, as demand dictates.
Roles and Responsibility:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design data migration strategies.
- Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from legacy systems to Salesforce.
- Clean, normalize, and map data to ensure compatibility with Salesforce data structures.
- Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues during migration processes.
- Ensure data quality by performing data validation and reconciliation post-migration.
- Work closely with Developers, Project Managers, and Lead Consultants to meet project deadlines and requirements.
- Utilize data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python) to manage and process large data sets.
- Support solution configuration by advising on additional fields and objects based on client requirements.
- Document data transformation rules, processes, and any deviations from standard practices.
- Assist in creating reports and dashboards to track data migration progress and post-migration success.
- Support Salesforce Developers in the development of reports and dashboards in CRM Analytics and Tableau.
- Participate in post-migration support and issue resolution as needed.
- Contribute reusable artefacts, such as documentation, scripts, and other resources to support the delivery of projects.
Special Condition:
- Ordinary full-time hours: 40 hours per week between supporting the ANZ, NA or EMEA business timing as required
- On occasion some out of hours work may be required
Selection Criteria:
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Extremely organised and detail oriented.
- Ability to engage and manage internal client expectations.
- Manage competing deadlines, multiple projects simultaneously, and conflicting priorities.
- Ability to learn, grasp, and apply new concepts.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas.
- 3 year’s Experience in data analysis, reporting, and data visualisation.
- Knowledge of data engineering processes.
- Knowledge of data cleansing and validation processes.
- 3 year’s Experience in data scripting and automations using Python is highly desirable.
- 3 year’s Experience in managing large datasets and performing data migrations.
- 3 year’s Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Familiarity with Salesforce products and ERP data management is a plus.
- Familiarity with sustainability data is a plus.
