Position Overview: As a Data Analyst focusing on Continuous Improvement in manufacturing settings, you will be an essential part of our team, working hands-on to drive operational excellence through statistical analysis and process improvements. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual eager to immerse themselves in the manufacturing environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for enhancement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Collection and Validation
    1. Collect, clean, and validate manufacturing data (e.g., OEE, scrap, etc.) from various sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
    2. Collaborate with frontline staff to ensure data integrity and gather insights from the shop floor.

 

  1. Statistical Analysis
    1. Apply statistical methods (e.g., Regression, ANOVA, DOE, etc.) to analyze manufacturing data, including production metrics, quality control data, and equipment performance.
    2. Generate actionable insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

  1. Continuous Improvement Initiatives
    1. Participate in continuous improvement projects, employing statistical tools and methodologies to identify areas for optimization.
    2. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement data-driven solutions and monitor their impact.

 

  1. Hands-On Engagement
    1. Spend time on the manufacturing floor to gain a practical understanding of processes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
    2. Work closely with production teams, demonstrating a willingness to get involved and understand the intricacies of manufacturing operations.

 

  1. Reporting and Documentation
    1. Develop clear and concise reports and visualizations to communicate key performance indicators and improvement progress.
    2. Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations for future reference and knowledge sharing.

 

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering)
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Power BI or Python
  • Strong foundation in statistical analysis and a keen interest in applying statistical methods to real-world manufacturing challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment.
