As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a role in driving our climate initiatives, collecting, processing, and analysing data to provide actionable insights that help ANZ make data-driven decisions. You will use analytical techniques to interpret trends, patterns, and relationships in data, including managing data feeds, sources and mapping into an ESG Data Platform.

What will your day look like?

As a Data Analyst, you are accountable for:

 

  • Data Collection and Analysis – supporting the identification and analysis of data requirements, including both internal and external data. Also supporting solutions design/build to deliver the data requirements.

  • Data Analytics – Utilise advanced analytics techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive decision-making.

  • Data Transformation and publication – Assist with the implementation of necessary data transformations and derivations to provide outputs to the multiple users of the ESG Data Platform.

  • Team player – working as part of a Program Workstream and supporting collaboration and coordination of data requirements across other workstreams and initiatives.

  • Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights. Communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

  • Reporting and Visualisation – Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to track the progress of the program data initiatives.

  • Regulatory Compliance – Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to climate data and reporting.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • 7 plus years’ experience in data analytics field with strong communication, presentation and data visualisation skills
  • Proven experience as a data analyst, preferably within the financial services or environmental sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL)
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Practical knowledge of data modelling
  • Strong stakeholder management, collaboration and the ability to build relationships
  • Strong delivery skills and experience with a demonstrated ability to manage time & priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment, with an ability to effectively prioritise multiple deliverables, determine the best sequencing to maximise outcomes and deliver to committed deadlines
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with an ability to focus on delivery priorities and maintain delivery momentum
