About LinkNYC:

LinkNYC is a first-of-its-kind communications network that provides free super fast, public Wi-Fi, phone calls, device charging, and access to city services to millions of New Yorkers and visitors across the five boroughs. And through content programs like Link Local and #ArtOnLink, LinkNYC is also a platform for community and civic engagement that supports small businesses, community organizations, and local artists. LinkNYC is delivered through a partnership between the City of New York and CityBridge, a NYC-based consortium of leading experts in media, technology, and connectivity. All services are provided for free to the user, and the system deployment, maintenance, and operations are privately funded, primarily through digital advertising displayed on the kiosks.

Job Description:

As a LinkNYC Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in understanding and optimizing the performance of the LinkNYC digital advertising and public services (Wi-Fi, charging, and telecommunications) network. You will leverage data analysis techniques to derive insights on revenue, occupancy, pricing, and audience behavior. You will also develop advertising packages and media plans to help drive revenue and optimize yield. Finally, you will conduct analysis on key performance indicators to help inform product development, deployment, engineering, and operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze advertising performance metrics to understand yield and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Provide insights on pricing strategies based on market trends, competitor analysis, and occupancy.
  • Develop media plans tailored to the LinkNYC digital kiosk network, considering audience demographics, campaign objectives, and available inventory.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of data analytics processes and tools to streamline reporting and decision-making.
  • Partner with the Media Data solutions to refine LinkNYC measurement products and solutions
  • Partner with marketing and SSE to provide lead lists with contact information that align with key initiatives and packages, and track reach deals. 
  • Partner with Ad Ops team to develop insights around campaign optimization 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, CS/CE, or other quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales, marketing, or media planning in the digital advertising industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python, or similar platforms and languages.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising technologies and platforms, including programmatic advertising, ad serving systems, and audience targeting methods.
  • Experience with data visualization and geographical mapping of multiple related data sets in a meaningful way
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively

Total Cash compensation: $80,000 – 100,000
