This is a hybrid position requiring some days working onsite at our downtown location while working other days remotely.

Organizational Expectations:
As a data analyst, you will support and advance the department’s data analytics by assisting with the design and implementation of processes to inspect, clean, transform, and model data to discover useful information, inform conclusions, and support decision making. You will produce reports and metrics, find trends and insights, collect data, and collaborate with others to achieve results. You will also develop, refine and visualize key department performance indicators and risk indicators.
General Responsibilities:

Gathers and analyzes data to answer key questions from stakeholders and assists with communicating findings and recommended actions.

Assists with writing queries to extract data from data warehouses or other sources.

Assists with the creation and definition of analytical tools that deliver efficient and effective approaches. Assists with the visualization and reporting of data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats (i.e., reports, dashboards, etc.) – Tells “stories” with data for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Implements best practices and standards in data analysis and visualization.

Review department processes and offer process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaborates with others to unlock opportunities for data-driven decision making.

Education and Experience:
Data Analyst:

High school diploma and 7 years of related work experience OR
-
Two years of college and 5 years of related work experience OR
-
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related work experience OR
-
Master’s degree and 0-1 year of related work experience
Data Analyst Senior:
-
High school diploma and 9 years of related work experience OR
-
Two years of college and 7 years of related work experience OR
-
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related work experience OR
-
Master’s degree and 3 years of related work experience
Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to perform independent research

Physical Demands and General Working Conditions
Traditional office environment – employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air.
