E3R Opportunity, San Diego, CA; Data Analyst:

Job Description:
E3R is seeking candidates to fill a Data Analyst position. We are looking for a candidate with a strong
Information Technology and/or Data Analysis background. They should be familiar with at least one
programming language and have experience using at least one database application.

In this role, you will be supporting the Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve (RDER) by utilizing DoD’s
big data platform (Advana) for analysis and development tasks. You will be joining a diverse group of
data analysts, subject matter experts, and system engineers to discover trends and make assessments
on novel technologies and experiments.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs):

• Direct work experience with database, spreadsheet, or list manipulation, visualization, and

design in software such as MS Excel, MS Access, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.

• Experience programming in object oriented, scripting, or query languages (C/C++, Java, Python,

SQL, etc).

• The ability to work with a cross functional team or independently on problem solving tasks.
• The ability to analyze sparse data and make correlations useful to decision makers.
• Experience presenting to groups online (Zoom / MS Teams) or in person.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills.
• Track record of consistency and reliability.

Highly desirable KSAs:

• Work experience using software applications such as: Qlik, Tableau, Collibra, Databricks, Grafana

or Apigee.

• Experience programming in languages such as R, SAS, Julia or MATLAB.
• Experience using data analysis and machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch,

Security Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship and an active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.

Education Requirement: In progress or completed Bachelors of Science degree in Data Science,
Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering is preferred.
Five or more years in the Military service as an IT/CT or similar in a commercial environment can also
satisfy the requirement.

Place of Performance: San Diego, CA

Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000 (dependent on experience)

Typical Working Conditions: Split between home and a General office environment;
Computer/Equipment lab
