Role summary

As D&A consultant at Merkle you will have the opportunity to lead and shape the future of the Data & Analytics team. You are a strategic advisor to our clients and have the chance to work on diverse and impactful projects.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data & Analytics Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as a strategic advisor to our clients, helping them translate business objectives into actionable, data-driven strategies for the owned channels (web, email, commerce). You will not only design and implement these strategies but also utilize data insights to drive measurable success for our clients.

To give you an idea of the projects could be working on: you can implement a training plan for a large language model (LLM) for a major energy company. Or you could work on a predictive model to forecast customer churn for a telecommunications company. Or you might develop a predictive model to determine style preferences for a home furnishing company.

At Merkle, you will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping the future of the Data & Analytics (D&A) team. Next to your consulting role you will manage a small and talented team of D&A professionals, fostering an environment that emphasizes quality, innovation, and continuous growth.

Though you bring significant experience and expertise, you maintain a strong desire for ongoing personal and professional development. At Merkle, we prioritize continuous learning and will fully support your growth as a leader and industry expert.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a small team of Data & Analytics (D&A) professionals;
  • Client Strategy: Understand client business goals and translate them into actionable data strategies and roadmaps;
  • Solution Design & Implementation: Design and implement tailored data and analytics solutions;
  • Recommendations: Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance client outcomes based on data analysis;
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other specialist teams within Merkle and dentsu to deliver integrated solutions;
  • Industry Expertise: Stay informed on the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and digital marketing.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Data & Analytics Consultant or in a similar role.
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience);
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Java);
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing;
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI);
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasive skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Ability to translate customer strategies into effective data strategies;
  • Experience in (line) management is preferred.

What We Offer:

  • An international work environment with colleagues from across the globe;
  • A challenging role in a fast-growing market;
  • Plenty of fun at work: table football, table tennis, team events, parties, and more;
  • 3 extra Well-being Days, on top of 25 annual vacation days;
  • 2 Social Impact Days for volunteering;
  • Extensive learning and development opportunities, both in-person and online;
  • A hybrid work model: 2-3 days in the office, the rest from home;
  • Competitive salary and great benefits.

Where will you work?

At our office you’ll find a group of professionals with different backgrounds and specializations. Pro’s that love to look further than their own niche and are keen to make the impossible possible. If you’d ask us we also think the parties, room for initiative and good vibes are what makes Merkle great. We don’t like shady stuff, but we do like a good atmosphere.

We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, even if you feel you do not meet every single requirement. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applications from women and underrepresented groups.
