About the Role

As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will play an important role in harnessing the power of data to drive insights, support internal teams in decision-making, and enhance player experiences. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow and integration across systems. Additionally, you will create and manage scalable data architectures, implement data quality checks, and develop dashboards for comprehensive data analysis. Your expertise in Data Engineering will provide actionable insights across multiple teams and ensure data-driven strategies are implemented.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, define metrics, and develop dashboards and reports to monitor game performance and player behavior.

  • Maintain, develop and design scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and analyze large volumes of game-related data.

  • Optimize and tune SQL queries for performance and efficiency to support real-time and batch processing requirements.

  • Perform analysis of game telemetry data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization and monetization.

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data engineering, analytics, and gaming.

Requirements

  • A can-do attitude, a passion for learning, and a creative approach to solving complex problems.

  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in the gaming industry.

  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL with an understanding of relational and NoSQL database concepts and query optimization techniques.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.

  • Experience working with large-scale datasets using technologies such as BigQuery/Redshift/Snowflake, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.

  • Prior experience with mobile game datasets or a strong interest in gaming is a plus.
