Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and motivated Data Analytics Engineer to join our Data Analytics Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Storage, and Power BI, with a preference for candidates who also have experience in backend development, particularly with .NET. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and optimizing data analytics solutions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Business Intelligence & Reporting:
    • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
    • Assist in integrating data from various sources to create insightful and actionable reports.
    • Ensure that data visualizations meet the needs of clients and business stakeholders.
  • Data Pipeline Development:
    • Design and develop data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL Server stored procedures, and/or Databricks Spark ETL processes.
    • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving data pipeline issues to ensure data quality and reliability.
  • Backend Integration (Nice to Have):
    • Support backend development tasks related to data integration and API management, especially using .NET.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining data services and applications that interface with Azure data solutions.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
    • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and the sharing of best practices within the team.
    • Stay updated on the latest developments in Azure services and data engineering practices.

 

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, including database management, query optimization, and security practices.
  • Experience with Power BI in developing and maintaining reports and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of Azure Storage solutions, including Blob, Table, and Data Lake Storage.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling using 3NF and dimensional approaches.
  • Experience developing data pipelines
  • Familiarity with backend development, particularly with .NET (desirable).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.
