PURPOSE OF ROLE:

You will play a pivotal role in refining, implementing, maintaining, and advancing interactive investor’s web and mobile analytics framework. Your work is essential for driving efficiency and providing clear, actionable insights across multiple teams.

As a key technical member of the Data and Innovation team, you will transform business requirements into robust and scalable analytics solutions. You will be responsible for the ongoing enhancement of our analytics infrastructure to support the company’s growth and to optimise performance.

By ensuring that analytics solutions are reliable and insightful, you empower teams across the organisation to focus on their core contributions, armed with data-driven support for strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Web and Mobile Analytics Technical Evaluation: Conduct in-depth evaluation of the technical aspects of the web and mobile applications and analytics requirements to ensure comprehensive data capture and accurate insights, understand user interactions, identify areas for improvement, and inform the development of enhanced analytics strategies
  • Data Collection and Tracking: Develop and maintain data collection and tracking methodologies across web and mobile platforms to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Technical Strategy Design: Design, plan, and document technical strategies for the collection of analytics data and handoff of data to the Data team
  • Analytics Platform Research: Research and propose analytics platforms, assessing their constraints and opportunities
  • Technical Liaison: Serve as the technical bridge between Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Analytics consumers/stakeholders, and Application Developers
  • Collaboration with Data Analytics Lead: Work closely with the Data Analytics Lead to ensure technical solutions are in line with the analytics strategy and architecture
  • Data Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to data protection laws and company policies, maintaining privacy and security standards across all data handling activities
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Actively engage with various departments to integrate data-driven insights into business processes, enhancing decision-making and strategic initiatives
  • Continuous Learning: Commit to ongoing professional development in data analytics, staying current with industry trends, tools, and best practices
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly track and report on key performance indicators relevant to each role’s domain, contributing to the overall success metrics of the team
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek and implement innovative solutions to enhance analytics capabilities and drive continuous improvement in processes and outcomes
  • Team Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Participate in team problem-solving sessions, share knowledge, and collaborate on projects to achieve common goals and resolve issues efficiently

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Essential

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for web analytics and the ability to understand and communicate the technical and business implications
  • Proficiency in Google Marketing Platform (GMP), for example, Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
  • Skilled in debugging GTM tagging (using dataLayer, GTM Debugger, or JavaScript)
  • Adherence to GTM best practices, including naming conventions, workspace management, and clear descriptions
  • Knowledge of server-side aspects of Google Tag Manager
  • Familiarity with pipelining tools, for example, BigQuery to Snowflake
  • Some knowledge in cloud analytics, particularly in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Eagerness to expand knowledge in cloud analytics, particularly in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Understanding of data privacy and compliance as it relates to web and mobile analytics
  • Experience in working with real-time data processing and analytics

Desirable

  • Familiarity with additional data visualisation tools and platforms beyond Google Data Studio and Power BI
  • Experience with data warehousing and ETL tools
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or JavaScript for data processing and automation
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to enhance analytics capabilities
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application in predictive modelling
  • Experience in implementing and managing analytics solutions in regulated industries, particularly in the financial sector
