As we embark on this exciting journey, we are seeking a dynamic, experienced and versatile Data & Analytics Engineer to join our #Ateam (Remotely) and help us shape the Future of Robotics.
As Data & Analytics Engineer you are responsible for designing, developing and maintaining our BI Data Platform. This combined role will involve both Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering responsibilities to ensure a seamless process for centralizing business data from various sources and turning it into trusted analytics-ready data to serve business end users. The role is a crucial position as ANYbotics is committed to strengthen data-driven decision making. The role gives you the unique opportunity to work with the Director Business Intelligence to shape and deploy ANYbotics’ data and BI infrastructure to drive better business decisions and empower stakeholders to understand their business and customers in new ways.
The Market & Our Technology 
ANYbotics transforms the industrial sector by introducing robotics to a wide range of novel applications that so far were beyond reach (see our case studies in Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Railways, Wind Energy, Mining, Construction). Our customers are large asset operators and service providers of industrial plants pioneering robotics technology for inspection and maintenance. Our solution enables autonomous routine inspections and monitoring of large-scale industrial facilities for increased safety and productivity. We develop numerous customized hardware systems, including the entire robotic platform, actuators, sensors, inspection payloads, charging systems, and software to achieve world-class mobility, autonomy, and inspection capabilities, often based on AI. We have proven the technology and the business impact on our customers in long-term pilot projects. We are now scaling the commercialization of our solution(s) and deploying directly into operation at customer facilities worldwide.

Your Contributions

  • Build up and maintain a company-wide BI Data Platform  (including integration of relevant source data)
  • Work closely with business and tool owners to understand data generating processes and convert raw business data into trusted and validated  analytics-ready data sets
  • Design and implement data models, build data pipelines, and leverage  SQL queries for clean, tested, documented and well-defined data data marts
  • Act as the technical expert to decide and build the best data extraction, storage, transformation and scheduling methods for different business use cases and data sources
  • Enforce data governance policies to maintain data integrity, security and quality

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a similar field of study 
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a data engineering / analytics engineering  role, including a track record in building a BI Data Platform 
  • Expertise in SQL and experience with dbt
  • Hands-on experience implementing ETL/ELT processes
  • Strong programming skills in Python 
  • Experience with cloud based data warehouses (ex. Snowflake, Redshift) and ETL/ELT tools (ex. Fivetran, Tray)
  • Experience with working with APIs to extract data from a variety of data sources 
  • Can-do attitude and a very open and engaging personality with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Independent self-starter with well-structured ways of working
  • Experience with the modern data stack tools is a big plus
  • Ability to work with cloud platforms (ex. AWS) is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with application of software engineering best practices to analytics code (ex. version control, CI/CD) is a plus
