At Zopa, our Data Analytics Managers are the people that inspire ideas and strategies to drive our business forward and make our products better for customers. They’re a rare mix: people who are analytical and confident in using data but who can use that data to creatively help drive decision making. Our new Data Analytics Manager will sitin part of our Savings Triberesponsible for Zopa’s flagship Smart Saver app and our Award-winning Fixed Term Savings Products.  The Savings squad owns our savings products and collaborates with many squads whose central services are used by savings (e.g.,Operations, Payments, Treasury). With over £3bn of savings and large growth predicted over the next few years we need a data driven Data Analytics Manager to generate insight and review commercial opportunities for growing our deposits, conduct analysis using internal and external data (e.g. Customer, Revenue, Product, Market and Industry) to derive insights that will drive business decisions and produce management information to report on performanceachievedeach month to the Savings leadership and Zopa Leadership Team.  With the team focusing on two of Zopa’s key growth initiatives this year there are lots of opportunities to gain exposure and learn new skills aligning with your personal career ambitions.  

A day in the life…

  • Generating key insight from data and using this insight to drive decision making – this will be customer, market, industry and commercial data  
  • Modelling the impact of potential and recently launched features and products on customer satisfaction and financial outcomes 
  • Defining and delivering savings MI, metrics and measures 
  • Problem solving together with software engineers, product designers and our operational teams to build the best possible customer experiences. 
  • Presenting complex MI and pulling out key insights to the Savings team and senior leadership 
  • Using data to support commercial decision making 
  • Build a deep understanding of what drives the savings markets, to help understand changes in MI and commercial models 
  • Supporting growth initiatives, monitoring key metrics, identifying improvement opportunities, and proposing solutions 
  • Working on technical initiatives, building an understanding of the system and key integrations with other teams  

About you…

  • Strong experience in a challenging, fast-paced environment  
  • You’re analytical, have excellent attention to detail and you work well with competing tasks and timescales 
  • You have a quantitative background and you’re a natural at turning data into insight that supports decision making 
  • You can communicate your insights succinctly and influence upwards, downwards, and sideways.  You treat others with respect but you’re not afraid to challenge them sensitively 
  • You are empathetic. You do the right thing for customers, even if it’s the more challenging option 
  • You’re a self-starter. You know when to ask for support and you’re not shy about doing so, but you don’t wait to be told what to do. 
  • You don’t define yourself narrowly. You roll up your sleeves and jump in where help is required, and you’re always look 
  • You have previous experience using Amplitute, Excel, SQL to analyse data and strong modelling skills
