Job Description

Global P&C is an Allianz SE department established in 2011 as continuation of the Centre of Competence project started in 2005. Its mission is supporting all Allianz P&C Entities to be outstanding in technical excellence by leveraging Allianz Capabilities. The department is organized in 6 teams and Global P&C – Pricing is one of the first team established thus it can count on a solid recognition from the Group and the local entities built on more than 10 years of activity. 

Global P&C Pricing team is responsible for identifying, supporting implementation and ensuring standards, best practices and guidelines for data management, tariff development, portfolio analysis and monitoring. Specifically, the team oversees: 
–    Joint projects with the Allianz local entities around the world: we collaborate with local entities on pricing projects concerning mainly technical pricing, behavioural models, price optimization, scenario analysis, development of pricing and portfolio management tools. 
–    Research and development on Data & Analytics and tools to enhance the level of sophistication always considering the business relevance and impact
–    Knowledge sharing and training of best practices: we design and facilitate P&C Pricing Academy courses to the wide community of pricing analyst of Allianz Group.
–    Review activities: periodically we review the full pricing process of each local entity to ensure the standardization and harmonization of pricing processes and the implementation of best practices across the group.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

–    Engage in collaborative efforts with the data science team to comprehend data requirements and develop robust data models, effectively visualizing key data insights for impactful storytelling.
–    Enhance business processes by proficiently managing the lifecycle of data and AI models, ensuring their relevance and accuracy over time.
–    Architect, construct, and launch innovative data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to craft data pipelines and dashboards, utilizing advanced object-oriented programming languages and modern web frameworks.
–    Maintain and improve existing production processes by identifying and implementing optimized, scalable solutions.
–    Contribute to Research and Development initiatives to discover and integrate cutting-edge technical solutions that propel the organization forward.
–    Synthesize complex data findings and communicate them clearly, ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders receive understandable and actionable insights.

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

 

–    Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, or a closely related field.
–    Preferably 

  • 1-2 years working experience in a Data Engineering role
  • Knowledge in SQL, ETL processes, data modeling, and programming language (e.g. Python, Julia)
  • Experience with DataOps practices, contributing to the continuous improvement of data workflows.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Services including AWS, GCP, Azure, and their application in data engineering tasks.
  • Familiarity with MLOps concepts and tools like MLFlow to streamline machine learning lifecycle management.
  • Competent with Linux environments, version control using GIT, and automation tools like Jenkins.
  • Proficient understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

–    Willingness to travel internationally for business needs.
–    International exposure through academic or professional experiences.
–    Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
