You are responsible to drive and secure master data quality within the product domain. You and your team will be leading and managing multidisciplinary data governance boards. Essentially to create the maximum impact in our business process through data quality improvements.

Role and responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team with data management, governance, data architect, performance management, project and portfolio management competences.
  • Be part of the staff of master data management to input on strategy, operating model, capability design, future state data management, project portfolio, priority setting and decision making.
  • Responsible to assess impact on and provide solutions for new initiatives on approx. 400 Master Data Attributes that are required to manage our overall Planning & Delivery business. Incorrect data in the critical to process attributes results in immediate impact to the running operation of ASML.
  • Challenge the master data management vision and mission and contribute to the corporate data strategy and tactical and operational processes.
  • Make sure that an optimal governance structure with governance boards is in place and running so that the teams in that structure can achieve their integrated master data roadmap. This includes adherence to master data quality, meta data quality and data maturity targets.
  • Support data improvements, projects and programs by a balanced allocation of capacity from the team.
  • Have great idea of how capabilities like data management, data quality, data governance, meta data management are supposed to be organized in a company like ASML, share the outside-in for best practice development.
  • To a certain degree understand the technical side of data management with having an idea regarding architecture, data modelling, analytics and dashboarding.
  • Support in performance management to make sure the right KPIs and metrics are identified and embedded within the functional teams within the department.
  • Build a stakeholder community that allows you and the team to generate the most optimal amount of impact required for a project or initiative, primarily linked to the governance structure but also beyond.
  • Contribute to the gathering and translation of business requirements into both transactional data and master data requirements towards IT.
  • Orchestrate the monitoring of data quality and data maturity and provide a basis for continuous improvement and problem solving, which allows to address and solve root causes in a data-driven way.
  • Make sure portfolio management is setup and follows a set cadence, so that the department is on top of priorities and can do timely check-in’s to see if all is under control or not.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor or Masters in information technology, business management or related field.
  • Preferably 7+ years’ working experience
  • Experience in data management combined with experience in supply chain management
  • Experience with line- and people management within a data environment
  • Extensive experience within data management

  • Understands the business, IT and operations side of data management
  • Well-developed leadership and people management skills
  • Knowledge of SAP, MDG, SAP Data Services, Colibra or other ERP-systems
  • Familiar with LEAN, agile and/or scrum
  • Road mapping and ensuring the right priorities are set
  • Problem-solving, strong in data, insights and dashboarding
  • Excellent Stakeholders management
