Data Architect
Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement robust data architectures that support business requirements and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Develop and maintain scalable data models, data warehouses, and data lakes using Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop, and open-source data lake architectures.
• Lead data engineering efforts to build and optimize ETL pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
• Conduct data profiling, data mapping, and data lineage analysis to ensure accurate and consistent data flow.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers and architects.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our data architecture.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, and data modeling.
• Proven expertise in Snowflake or Databricks or Hadoop, and open-source data lake architectures, including hands-on experience with their respective tools and frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• In-depth knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data lake architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools.
• Presales experience, including the ability to engage with clients and support sales teams in crafting data solutions.
• Experience in proposal drafting, solution designing, proposal defense & estimations.
