What You Can Expect

As the Data Architect with a focus on Data Systems in Houston, Texas for ENGIE’s Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) you will be instrumental in shaping the technological landscape, ensuring that our data infrastructure aligns with and supports our broader technical objectives. Your role will encompass both the depth of data systems and the breadth of technical architecture, making you a key driver of innovation and efficiency.

 

The ideal person will connect business objectives with ideas on how to use data centric technology solutions to achieve and unlock value for the organization. Everyday, you will report to the Solutions Strategy Director to collaborate and define a vision for the data-related systems and processes that support each of our digital products (internal applications), leading the design of the future-state solution, and support the development and integration of those solutions into our business. Furthermore, you will be responsible for defining and refining ENGIE’s Enterprise Data Model, helping establish common nomenclature across functional teams and within our data and reporting platforms.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree where you learned, programming, data analysis, data management  and computer applications with a minimum of seven (7) years of technical architect and systems implementation experience in a professional setting

  • A minimum of three (3) years of Microsoft Azure, cloud-based systems, and data technologies experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years of Agile and DevOps experience with modern, automated deployment methods, such as Azure DevOps, Bicep, Terraform, etc.
  • Have experience in data modeling, design, and architecture
  • Have experience  in various Azure data solutions such as PowerBI, SQL Server, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Spark, Synapse, Data Factory
  • Experience in complex data analysis
  • Experience with modeling tools such as Visio or Lucidchart

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
