AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Data Architect. In our AGCO journey towards ‘Farmer First’ customer centricity and digitalization, the necessity for maintaining high quality, actionable data is key to our success.       

 

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous improvement and monitoring of data architectures globally, resulting in consistent, compliant, high-quality data that progressively meets data standards. This position will support our organization as we design and build robust data architectures to enable data-driven business insights. Through close collaboration with business stakeholders, data scientists, data engineers, and IT & infrastructure teams, customer, dealer, and business value will be generated with data supporting analytics at scale. This role will deliver on the value of data to provide both cost reduction and increased revenues, enabling AGCO to better serve those feeding the world. Designs, evaluates, and tests data architectures as well as implements, supports, and enhances the tools and technologies used for Reporting & Analytics throughout the organization.

 

Your Impact

  • Designs and manages data architectures that collect, store, and process data according to company needs and goals.
  • Develops and maintains data models, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams.
  • Ensures data integrity, security, and availability across various data platforms.
  • Collaborates with data engineers to build and evolve infrastructure to ingest, process, and extract meaning from data.
  • Works with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Implements data governance and best practices for data management.
  • Troubleshoots data-related issues, identifies possible solutions, and resolves accordingly.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision.
  • Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7+years relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
