Role Summary

We are seeking a Platform Architecture and Engineering Lead to drive the design, development, and implementation of our data integration and AI/ML platforms. This role will oversee the architecture and engineering efforts for a data-driven infrastructure that leverages Nexla, Dataiku, and AWS to support our data pipelines, machine learning models, and analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background, experience in leading engineering teams, and a proven track record of building scalable data solutions in cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of platform architecture, data integration workflows, and AI solutions that meet the company’s needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of the data integration platform using Nexla, Dataiku, and AWS.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality delivery of platform components and solutions.
  • Oversee the end-to-end implementation of data pipelines, from data ingestion to transformation and modeling, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and product teams to develop and deploy machine learning models and analytics using Dataiku.
  • Ensure efficient use of AWS cloud resources (EC2, Lambda, S3, Redshift, etc.) to optimize data workflows, machine learning tasks, and infrastructure costs.
  • Establish best practices for platform architecture, monitoring, and operational excellence.
  • Drive innovation by researching and implementing emerging technologies and methodologies that can improve the efficiency and performance of the platform.
  • Monitor the performance of platform services and provide recommendations for optimization and improvements.
  • Communicate technical concepts to stakeholders and work closely with leadership to align on strategic goals.

Experience and Skills Required

  • 8+ years of experience in platform architecture, engineering, or a similar technical leadership role.
  • Proven experience with Nexla, Dataiku, and AWS (S3, Redshift, EC2, Lambda, etc.), including designing and scaling data integration and machine learning platforms.
  • Strong background in data engineering, data pipelines, and cloud architecture.
  • Proficiency in building and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
  • Experience with leading and managing engineering teams, providing technical direction, and ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure management, including cost optimization, performance monitoring, and security.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD processes, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive technical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
