Our Engineering for Innovation and New Technology Department provides research and development support for innovative products such as stacks for E-Motors, electrolyzers, air foil bearings, and pushbelts. We focus on data-driven development for multiple products in both industrial and automotive sectors. Our approach covers the entire digital lifecycle, from requirements gathering to data ingestion, analysis, and dashboarding, tailored to specific use cases for different products.
Currently we have an open internship position for students studying in the field of Cloud and Data Development Engineering (Software Engineering).
Job Description
What can you expect:
- You would learn machinery and its measurement equipment like communication protocol and data format that are involved in a research project focused on material characterization.
- You would be responsible for digitizing measurement equipment used in material characterization.
- You would store collected data in cloud-based storage systems.
- You would clean and convert data outputs from machinery into formats compatible with cloud data ingestion.
- Establish and maintain connectivity between machinery and cloud storage systems.
Qualifications
- You are a practical (MBO) or bachelor (HBO) level student in Software Data Engineering (Data Development & Cloud);
- You have experience in configuring and troubleshooting network connections and communication protocols for various types of machines and devices;
- You have coding skills for building and maintaining data pipelines, protocols, processes, and data manipulation tasks;
- You have an excellent level of English and potentially some experience with a second language;
- You can work independently (but the team is also there if you need them);
- You can start in September ’24 and are enrolled in your studies until February 2025.
Nice to have but not a must: You are familiar with Azure Cloud.
