Data Engineer
Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to support our customers and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers.
About the role:
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining ETL pipelines. You will work closely with senior team members to understand and implement data architectures, database management, and data processing workflows.
What we are looking for:
- Three plus years of hands-on experience in data engineering
- Experience in designing, building, and managing ETL pipelines
- Has designed and built RESTful APIs and web services using frameworks like Flask, Django, or Spring Boot
- Worked with Cloud-based systems and/or AI/ML Development
- Expertise with SQL and proficiency in at least one programming language such as Scala, Python, or Java
- Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and query optimization
- Experience with technologies like Spark, Kafka, Flink, or Airflow
- Hands-on experience with the US Public Sector
- Proficiency with graph databases such as Neo4J or Nebula
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification within the first 90 days of employment
Highly preferred:
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience with ML model deployment and serving
- Familiarity with developing and implementing ontologies
- Proficiency with graph databases such as Neo4J or Nebula
- Experience with unmanned systems technologies, such as UAVs, UGVs, autonomous drones, or robotics
- Understanding of data security practices
- Certification related to data management or data engineering
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Secret Clearance
Work Type:
- Hybrid (1-2 days a week on-site)
- May require up to 25% travel
Salary Range:
- $130,000 – $210,000
- The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate’s comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
