Job Description

Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Establish and build processes and structures based on business and technical requirements to channel data from multiple inputs, route appropriately and store. Manage BI Partner relationships for their assigned subjects areas and collaborate on solution designs and implement and maintain EDW information models and solutions in accordance with EBI and IT architecture guidelines and principles. Create and establish design standards and assurance processes for software, systems and applications development. Provide product lifecycle oversight of information models including deprecation and retirement. Adhere to and promote all EBI and IT processes related to incident management, change management, project management, and communication. Maintain documentation required to accurately describe and maintain EDW solutions. Up to 8% domestic (Austin, TX) & international (Netherlands) travel req’d.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science, foreign equivalent or related field. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree equivalent based on a combination of education and experience as determined by a professional evaluation service.

Twelve (12) years of experience in the job offered, Senior Specialist – Data Engineering, or related occupations.

Required skills:

Position requires five (5) years of experience in:

  • ETL tools Talend, DataStage and Teradata;
  • Programming tools Pl/SQL, Python;
  • AWS;
  • Unix;
  • Oracle Tableau; and
  • Power BI.
