As a data engineer you will directly impact the cost efficiency and speed of NXP’s New Product Introductions, as you will be responsible for the quality of the data and business insights that enable correct R&D business decisions.
Together with your data engineering team and the R&D data scientists, you shape the future of the R&D data analytics platform. Your solutions delight R&D business with a topnotch self-service fully automated cloud-based data platform.
This is what you will do as data engineer at NXP
In collaboration with the rest of the data engineering team, you will drive the innovation of the solutions that make-up the R&D data analytics platform. There is a lot of room for new ideas, and through collaboration you achieve your goals.
- You build and maintain ETL pipelines that ingest data from various sources into a central cloud-based data lake.
- You develop and maintain new components of the R&D data analytics platform to manage data access, enforce policies, governance, etc.
- You are the technical expert advising the R&D IT organization about Big Data solutions, which you design, implement, and maintain.

Typically you…
You can describe yourself as follows:
- Minimum qualification: bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience as a data engineer, working with Big Data in the context of an IT infrastructure organization.
- Passionate about automation, cloud computing, IaC, DevOps, MLOps, and CI/CD.
- A magician in writing python code, SQL queries and regex.
- Solution-oriented, hands-on, communicative, customer-centric team player.
- Valuing the importance of working together with others to be successful as a team and as part of a larger organization.

Contract: This is a full-time position with a permanent contract. However, we are open to discuss a part-time opportunity (between 32 and 38 hours) as well.
