Job Description

Product is seeking a Data Engineer to join our team. You will work closely with product management, sprint managers, and other members of the engineering team to design, develop, test, and deliver data pipelines and bespoke data flow integrations for clients; create product based solutions that enable customer missions and increase internal delivery efficiency; interface with product and project managers, technology partners, and internal development staff to advise and consent on the integrated technology development and delivery roadmap; and identify, research and evaluate new technologies and technological concepts.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design efficient data pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest data from various sources into our data warehouse.
  • Implement infrastructure as code principles to automate the deployment and management of data infrastructure using tools such as Terraform.
  • Implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Assist in designing and optimizing database schemas and data models for scalability and performance.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Support the deployment and monitoring of data pipelines in production environments.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and infrastructure automation.

What You Need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a data engineering team role.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Familiarity with database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling concepts
  • Experience with major DBMSes including SQL Server, MySQL, and cloud warehouses including Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is needed.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code principles and tools such as Terraform is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain (or preferably currently have) a security clearance is desired
  • Familiarity with Git BitBucket, SOA, microservices, message queueing and RDBMS concepts, third-party RESTful web services and other APIs is a plus.
