Data Engineer | About You

As a Data Engineer, you are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You will work closely with key IT stakeholders to ensure that data is accessible, reliable, and available for critical decision-making processes. Your role includes building data pipelines, optimizing data flow, and managing data storage solutions. You will also ensure data quality and compliance with data governance standards. Strong team and project lead experience will be valuable for this role.

Data Engineer | Day-to-Day

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to perform data conversions, imports, and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems.
  • Continuously optimize and fine-tune data pipelines for performance and scalability, implementing best practices to ensure optimal data integration and transformation processes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather and analyze data requirements, translating them into technical solutions that meet business needs.
  • Document new and existing models, solutions, and implementations.
  • Design, develop, and test databases, data warehouses, data lakes, queries and views, reports, and dashboards.
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the organization.

Data Engineer | Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of proven experience in Data Engineering, Data Management, Data Integration, Data Transformation, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication and collaboration, essential for resolving technical challenges, ensuring data accuracy, and fostering teamwork across departments.
